The Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture and Development has launched a humanitarian initiative to distribute desalinated drinking water to displacement camps in the Central Governorate, aiming to alleviate the suffering of affected families facing water shortages.

As part of the initiative, 43 cubic meters of desalinated water were distributed to shelters in the areas of Al-Zawaida and Deir Al-Balah, benefiting approximately 2,000 families struggling to access clean drinking water due to the ongoing blockade and aggression on the Gaza Strip.

This initiative is part of the center's continuous efforts to meet community needs and support the resilience of citizens under challenging conditions. The initiative was implemented in partnership with the Norwegian Amanah Foundation.
