The Dr. Haider Abdul Shafi Center for Culture and Development commemorated the birthday of the late great national leader Dr. Haider Abdul Shafi at its headquarters in Gaza City. This took place during a dialogue session attended by a group of activists, intellectuals, and youth who are friends of the center.
The session began with the screening of two short films produced by the center about the life and journey of the late leader. Following this, Mr. Mohsen Abu Ramadan, the center's director, reviewed the significant milestones of his life, the lessons learned, and the quotes he frequently reiterated. He emphasized the importance of promoting the values and following the path of Dr. Abdul Shafi towards national unity, democracy, and advocating for the interests of the marginalized and vulnerable social groups, which earned him the popular title of "the doctor of the poor".
Participants highlighted the importance of implementing the concepts advocated by Dr. Abdul Shafi, especially towards achieving national unity, democratic transformation in society, and ensuring righteous democratic governance.
The event served as a tribute to the late great national leader Dr. Haider Abdul Shafi, whose life was marked by immense dedication and contributions.
At the end of the session, volunteers from the center presented a commemorative shield to the center's director and staff for their role in empowering youth, enhancing their knowledge, and capacities.
