The Dr. Haider Abdul Shafi Center concludes a series of archaeological trips to the site of Saint Hilarion, known as Tel Amor. The center, in partnership with the International Primary Relief (PUI), organized several cultural archaeological trips where approximately 150 young volunteers from the center participated. They explored many artifacts at the site and learned about the various historical periods it went through, as well as the reasons for its disappearance and concealment due to natural factors such as earthquakes. The discovery of the Monastery of Saint Hilarion in 1993 during a land division operation in the area revealed some archaeological facilities, but the occupation forces, which controlled the sector, looted and stole everything they could from the monastery.
Participants also became acquainted with many artifacts within the site, including corridors, columns, mosaic panels, and the services provided by the monastery such as hotels, baths, stables, and more.
