The Dr. Haider Abdul Shafi Center for Culture and Development organized a meeting in partnership with the Phoenix Center for Field Research and Studies. The first paper addressed the drinking water crisis in the Gaza Strip (its causes and consequences), which led to numerous health problems and prolonged waiting. The paper also discussed statistics and figures regarding water levels, pollution, and the occupation's theft of Gaza's water. As for the second paper, it focused on the challenges facing working women in the Palestinian labor market. It presented various statistics indicating the presence of women in the workforce from 2019 to 2020 and proposed several recommendations, including the necessity of implementing support programs for working women and achieving equality in job opportunities and wages. Participants emphasized the importance of presenting these papers to decision-makers and advocating for practical solutions on the ground based on the recommendations issued by both papers.
